Drudge Report Debate Polls

I am a fan of the Drudge Report, and lately the website posted for the past couple weeks, polls about who “won” a recent debate. Of course, Ron Paul has taken the first place spot in numerous polls, however, the winner of a caucus tends to be the second place winner in the Drudge poll (with the exception of New Hampshire). Perfect example would be South Carolina’s debate, Newt was the second place winner of the Drudge poll. If this trend continues, then Mit Romney should be the winner of the Florida primary.

War With Iran

What Happens Now?

When it comes to war with Iran we have to answer this question: Are we able and willing to wage another war? We withdrew from one nation already, and we still have war weary troops in another godforsaken country. The US is now saber rattling with China over the South China Seas and to protect its interest in the Pacific.

The world saw how the US is by far superior when it comes to conventional warfare. Iraq conventional military was no match for the USA 700 billion dollar war machine; however, when it comes to nation-rebuilding, the US suffered from growing pains as it transition to war to rebuilding. We lost troops from IEDs and suicide bombers. In other words, we lost more troops in unconventional warfare than during the actual battles between uniform soldiers.

What does this mean if a war between Iran and the US happens? It means Iran will not be able to fight the US using accepted rules of engagement. Most of the Iranian army are conscripts with low morale and poor weaponry(which is normal for conscripted armies). The largest factor is that the USA military is designed and excels at conventional warfare. Guide munitions, well-trained soldiers, blue water navy, world’s largest aircraft carriers, and not to mention a 700 billion dollar defense budget all combine to form a nation crushing force.

Iran’s choice, which is rather poor, is to fight using the same tactics that the insurgence used in Iraq. The goal would to increase war weariness in the USA and hope that the cost of life to US soldiers would influence public opinion against the war, or enough to bring the USA to the negotiation table. Will this method work? It will be up to the wills of the governments in both nations. The US will have to deal with war weary citizens while Iran still have internal problems

I will continue to post about the powder keg.

Healthcare Reform

My father broke his arm while in high school. The next day, he saw his doctor. The doctor took the X-ray, set the bone, and wrapped the arm in a cast. A half-day later, the entire procedure was completed. My grandparents only paid a few hundred dollars for everything and my father went on with his day.

I broke my finger back in Jr. High. The following day, I went to see my doctor. He put a temporary splint and sent me to a specialist. The specialist sent me to have an X-ray done. A Radiologic Technologists took the X-ray and sent me back to the specialist.

The specialist looked at the X-ray. He said my finger was fractured. He finally put a durable splint on my finger and I went home at 4:30pm.

My procedure took the entire day and cost more than 1000 dollars.  I wondered why my broken finger took an entire day to fix, yet my father’s broken arm took half. A broken arm is a serious medical condition compared to a broken finger, yet his procedure cost less time and money.  I understand it was in the 70s and a few hundred dollars was expensive; however, why did I have to see three different people? While my father saw one?

When my dad broke his arm, his parents only paid the doctor to do everything, but when I broke my finger my parents paid three different people. I understand there are times when it is paramount to see different types of specialist, for example cancer, yet when is it necessary for three different healthcare providers to fix something as simple as hairline fracture on a finger?

Freedom from

We are peasants. I work with the fear of being fired at a moment notice. I have been lied into believing that hard work and determination will make me the next big movie star or millionaire, but we aren’t. When we wise up and realize the lies we were told aren’t true. We are sedated with sex, consumerism, and good old fashion TV.

Our problem is that we have been breed to follow the Hamster Wheel of Hedonism, the endless pursuit of pleasure and satisfaction. When life gets a little hard (like this economy) we shout and yell. We gnash our teeth and cry for those with the power to save us, and they do. They save us just for a little bit more freedom and individuality.

Eventually we will be nothing more then serfs of the power elites. Of course, they won’t be our rulers overnight. The elites will seek more power on the behalf of the people, and this cycle will just reduce us to drones to the overlords. A drone we shall be. Unless…

We must over come the crass demands of the flesh. Only take enough to keep our bodies well. We must protect the sacredness of the mind, and insure that we do not use intoxicants for euphoria. For the use of poisons allow others to control us and destroy us. Detach ourselves from the materialistic consumer mindset. Thus doing this shall lead us to freedom.

From Russia with Love.

When Barack was elected as El Presidente, I knew that Obama would take the route of pacifism. Obama adopted the ‘woe is us, and we’re sorry for all the problems in the world’ and both Republicans and Democrats agreed.

Now, Obama is in Russia trying to mend the freezing relations between Russia and the United States. Russia has stated what it does not like about America. Notably our missile defense shield and how our currency is crap. I can blame Bush for the Missile Shield, but I know its needed to insure US protection, however, the currency issue, it started with Bush and Obama is making it much worse.

During the day, Obama met with Medvedev, the president of Russia, and made some head way. Obama and Medvedev agreed to limit nuclear arsenals.  Don’t be fooled by the handshakes and smiles. This is not the only reason Obama is over there. Obama is trying to warm relations so Russia doesn’t continue questioning the US dollars dominance. Obama is very concerned with how history will remember him. Obama does not want to be the president that saw the US dollar lose it’s dominance, and because of this Obama would be willing to make any concessions to keep Russia content.

But we all know that this would not work. It didn’t work Neville and it won’t work with Obama.

The War on Drugs, and the American Way

This is what happens when unchecked consumerism turns to hedonism.

It’s sad to see people that have no idea that their lives were going to end. I can imagine that all of them woke up, and their deaths where the furthest thought from their mind, yet, their lives will be cut short by bullets. This attack has its origins in the narco trade between the USA and Mexico’s drug cartels, and what is fueling the chaos? Americans demand for drugs and pleasure or unchecked hedonism.

Most people will fail to see the connection between this brutal attack on four innocent people and American search of pleasure, however, the link between the two is painfully obvious. We are part of the blame of what happened there. We, Americans, are taught that we must seek pleasure, in any form, whether it be: drugs, alcohol, food, clothing, and the list continues. Through TV, movies, or any form of media. We are taught that doing what feels good is ok and good. That there is no universal belief of what is right and what is wrong. We are taught that right and wrong is open to personal interpretation.

It is a combination of a lack of fundamental morals and the search of pleasure that has cause the need of drugs, obesity, and other negative cancers to flood our society. As long as Americans seek drugs, remember we are the number 1 consumer of illegal narcotics, violence and death shall stalk those who are innocent and defenseless.

The drug user doesn’t care about the deaths of innocent people, they have no second thought that their money shall be used to corrupt government and spread death. The drug dealer doesn’t care for as long as there is demand, he will supply no matter the cost.

Iran, Israel, and a future conflict

It is just a matter of time before the tinderbox that is called the Middle East explodes, and when it does happen. The world will see a war unlike any other.

People, we Americans, do not understand how fragile the peace in the Middle East is. There is Israel, a Jewish State that is likened to in westerner invasion in the eyes of the Arab population. Then there are the extremist nations of Iran and Syria. Both have a deep hatred of the United States and Israel, and would rejoice if one or both fell. Of the two extremist nations, Iran is what I would consider a major threat. Not only is Iran seeking to become a nuclear power and is rattling its sabers.

I can tell you right now that if the United States doesn’t do anything to reduce the threat of Iran, Israel will strike. Just today Iran tested a long-range missile that has the ability to hit US bases in Iraq and targets in Israel. Combine that with Iran’s uranium enriching for “nuclear power” and you have the deadly situation. Because of this deadly potential, Israel might have no choice but to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran. The major targets will be military facilities and nuclear plants.

Then Iran will claim that civilians where killed in the strike and whip up its citizenry into a war frenzy. Israel will attempt to justify its military strike. By this time majority of the major nations would issue public condemnation of Israel’s actions. Iran, however, cannot directly assault Israel since it must go through Iraq and Syria. I can foresee a missile barge from Iran followed by a military invasion by Syria. With Israel distracted it would give Palestine the chance to launch its own rebellion. Thus Israel will be faced with a dangerous two front war.

The only unknown factor is the USA. With Obama in the presidential office I cannot see what he will do. I understand that if Israel did launch a pre-emptive strike that Obama will join the rest of the nations in issuing a public condemnation; however, if Israel is attacked would Obama come to their aid. Most conservatives and right-wingers will agree that we must do something to help, yet this might actually be a bad thing. Remember we have military in Iraq and our military is stretched too thin. If USA does support Israel, Iran might just send its soldiers through Iraq on its way to Israel.

With this in place, the USA will be in a war just as devastating and long as Vietnam. Except the soldiers are not fighting for a socialistic ideology but for their god, and that is what will make this war far different. If American people thought that the 4,888 (4,300 in Iraq, 588 in Afghanistan) casualties from the Afghanistan and Iraq war are high, a war with Iran would cause deaths in the tens of thousands.

Barack Obama’s Stimulus Package and how it is failing…

Alright

It has been too long since I wrote on this blog. After a crushing defeat in the 2008 elections; the Republicans are leaderless, confused, and (most importantly) lost their way. Now we have Comrade Barack Hussein Obama as our Controller-in-Chief of the United Socialist States of America. His radical beliefs are coming out, and coming out strong. In the past few months we have passed THE LARGEST SPENDING BILL IN WORLD HISTORY, yet as good Americans we did not ask questions. We just simply followed our Messiah. Obama was promising change and hope (AKA Chope). From his campaign speeches, it sounded like the moment he would step into office. All the problems of the earthy would be fixed.

Two months later…

Something did change

Now the USA deficit has never been higher (and you liberals were complaining about Bush’s spending)

The economy is still failing, jobs are being lost at record numbers, and unemployment is at 8.1 percent. This isn’t change but more of the same, so much Obama’s campaign promise of “change we can believe in.”

Untested Obama vs. the World

And People in the USA think lethal injection is cruel.

And People in the USA think lethal injection is cruel.

While the USA elected a young and untested president. The world is gearing up to test the nerves of Obama. Russia, Iran, and Israel. Each one of those nations has a problem that could-at one point- cause an international crisis. Iran, after a 29 year diplomatic boycott has sent its congratulations to Obama. Ahmadinejad called for Obama to change current US policies concerning Iran. Ahmadinejad wants the sanctions removed as a sign of goodwill.

Israel, however, is against this. Israel stated that if Obama eases up on the sanctions or opens lines of communication. That Iran would consider Obama as weak. Iran wanted a president Obama, because they think Obama is ‘flexible‘. Lastly Russia is now willing to put warheads along the Polish boarder if Obama continues Bush’s missile shield.

This is a whole heck of a lot for Barack Obama. Just recently Obama was just a senator, and before that a state senator. I know the entire media bashed Palin for her lack of foreign policy experience, but Obama doesn’t have any either. I hope that Obama show some backbone and keep up the pressure on Iran, and show Russia that he does have a backbone. I just fear that Obama will try to follow the failed Neville Chamberlain diplomacy of appeasement.

President Barack Obama

“It’s natural tonight to feel some disappointment. Though we fell short, the failure is mine, not yours.”
-John McCain-

After a long and tiresome election, it is finally over. I and many other conservatives now feel the weight of uncertainty. Now as a historic night comes to a close. We, conservatives, now have to look toward the future. We cannot begin to fathom what changes will take place. We cannot begin to predict what type of president Barack Obama will be.

Shall we grit our teeth and prepare for a long four years. Shall we prepare for a new age of socialism?Or shall conservatives make a slow inventible march toward mediocrity, a march toward a centrist view? Or will we, conservatives, rally around our fundamental ideals and maybe, just maybe, take back the government, and stick to our promises. I know this is wishful thinking, but these are some items we, conservatives, must decide.

Obama is now president and I must grit my teeth and bear it. Hopefully, Obama will not be the radical I still believe he is. I pray that he will move toward the center. I pray that Obama will not feel comforting pull of the radical left views of Wright and Ayers; however, Obama’s time in senate showed how much he is a leftist. Yet Obama said that we must show unity. Only time will tell if Obama is for a bipartisan government. Only time will tell.
