Freedom from

We are peasants. I work with the fear of being fired at a moment notice. I have been lied into believing that hard work and determination will make me the next big movie star or millionaire, but we aren’t. When we wise up and realize the lies we were told aren’t true. We are sedated with sex, consumerism, and good old fashion TV.

Our problem is that we have been breed to follow the Hamster Wheel of Hedonism, the endless pursuit of pleasure and satisfaction. When life gets a little hard (like this economy) we shout and yell. We gnash our teeth and cry for those with the power to save us, and they do. They save us just for a little bit more freedom and individuality.

Eventually we will be nothing more then serfs of the power elites. Of course, they won’t be our rulers overnight. The elites will seek more power on the behalf of the people, and this cycle will just reduce us to drones to the overlords. A drone we shall be. Unless…

We must over come the crass demands of the flesh. Only take enough to keep our bodies well. We must protect the sacredness of the mind, and insure that we do not use intoxicants for euphoria. For the use of poisons allow others to control us and destroy us. Detach ourselves from the materialistic consumer mindset. Thus doing this shall lead us to freedom.

President Barack Obama

“It’s natural tonight to feel some disappointment. Though we fell short, the failure is mine, not yours.”
-John McCain-

After a long and tiresome election, it is finally over. I and many other conservatives now feel the weight of uncertainty. Now as a historic night comes to a close. We, conservatives, now have to look toward the future. We cannot begin to fathom what changes will take place. We cannot begin to predict what type of president Barack Obama will be.

Shall we grit our teeth and prepare for a long four years. Shall we prepare for a new age of socialism?Or shall conservatives make a slow inventible march toward mediocrity, a march toward a centrist view? Or will we, conservatives, rally around our fundamental ideals and maybe, just maybe, take back the government, and stick to our promises. I know this is wishful thinking, but these are some items we, conservatives, must decide.

Obama is now president and I must grit my teeth and bear it. Hopefully, Obama will not be the radical I still believe he is. I pray that he will move toward the center. I pray that Obama will not feel comforting pull of the radical left views of Wright and Ayers; however, Obama’s time in senate showed how much he is a leftist. Yet Obama said that we must show unity. Only time will tell if Obama is for a bipartisan government. Only time will tell.

Barack Obama’s Civilian National Security Force

Posted in News, Politics with tags , , , , , , , , , , on November 2, 2008 by Rob

What is a civilian National Security Force? A new version of the Homeland Security department? A new branch of the military? Or the family friendly term for the secret police? What ever the answer something is unsettling about this.

Barack Obama, in the video above, states that we cannot rely on our own military for our national security! Obama wants to have a civilian National Security Force. What I don’t understand is that our military is already a civilian national security force. All soldiers are normal civilians that decided to serve our nation in the armed forces.

Obama wants this ‘National Security Force’ to be as strong, as well funded, and large as our armed forces. For any fiscal-conservatives out there, our defense budget is 500 billion dollars. Obama wants to add another 500 billion for his Secret police, so the defense budget will be 1 trillion. No wonder why Obama wants to raise taxes.

Yet that doesn’t bother me as much as why Obama wants a new military branch, or whatever you want to call it. Isn’t our own military and local police enough? Our armed forces are the strongest and most sophisticated military in the world. No other nation on earth can compare to our weapon technology. No other nation military has the same global reach as us. In my humble opinion, our military is the best.

So why does Obama want this? I have an idea, and if you support Obama, stop reading now.

Obama is a left-wing Radical. Our military tends to be a conservative organization. Obama knows that there will be many in the military that will not trust him. There will be many in the top brass that will resent his leadership, and rightly so. How does Obama fix this problem? Simple, make a new military force that will be loyal to his ideals, a new military that Obama will be able to influence and have complete control over. That is where this new ‘civilian National Security Force’ comes in, and with a Democrat controlled congress, I can see Obama getting all the funding and support he needs.

I am against this because we already have a military and we have police officers. Why do we need to have another national security organization? And what’s wrong with our current military? The main questions that I have are, what powers will this civilian National Security Force have? Will they be able to arrest anti-Obama supporters? Arrest those who do not recycle? Spy on our families and neighbors like in George Orwell’s book 1984?

All I know is that this is rather disturbing and further proof of Obama’s Radicalism.

How to Vote

And Not be an Idiot

This election is going to change America. No matter whom we choose. I want to make sure that anyone who can vote does. It is our right and a duty to vote, but I want to make sure you vote smart. I don’t want anyone to vote just based on a fancy campaign.

  1. Don’t vote based on looks or how the candidate dresses. I have heard stories and knew of people that voted just because the person looked sincere, was eloquent, or dressed professionally.
  2. Don’t always vote for party candidates. Just because your candidate is a Democrat or Republican doesn’t mean you have to vote for him/her. Just because I am a conservative doesn’t mean I always have to vote Republican and vise-versa for Democrats. Many in my family are registered Democrats but vote Republican. Vote for the candidate that matches the issues that you hold dear.
  3. If you know nothing of a candidate, DON’T VOTE FOR THEM! There is nothing worse then voting for someone and know nothing about their personal life or stance on issues. Voting blindly is a sure-fire way to get a government that, We the People, never wanted.
  4. Don’t vote by flipping a coin or doing ‘inny-minny-miney-moe’. Voting is just too important to leave to chance. Don’t be stupid. If you don’t know anything about a candidate or if you know nothing anything about the issues. Just don’t vote at all.
  5. Follow your own beliefs! Not the beliefs that the candidates want you to follow. As cliché as this may sound. Follow your own heart. Because in the end, you know what’s best for you. Not the candidates, so vote for the person that matches closely to your ideals.
  6. Vote for the issues, not the campaign! Sure Obama’s campaign is nice and flashy, but for all we know it could be superficial. Remember a good campaign means nothing. A campaign doesn’t help one be president or fix our economic problem. A campaign just proves that a candidate can sell himself to the American people.
  7. Think! Ask yourself one question. Will this candidate really help America? Obama’s and McCain’s campaigns are promising everything, but it doesn’t mean that either campaign will live up to its promises. Bush promised in 2000 that he was against Bill Clinton’s military intervention policy. In the 90s Bill Clinton ran on a platform for Universal Healthcare. Neither president stuck with their promises.
  8. IT IS YOUR VOTE. Not Obama’s, not McCain’s, not the media’s, not the neighbors, nor your friends. It is yours and yours alone.
  9. Go with your gut feeling. Most of the time it won’t let you down. If you feel uneasy about a candidate chances are that you will not agree with his polices. Just because the media speaks highly or poorly of a candidate shouldn’t change your mind. If you get uneasy by Obama’s religious, radical, or vague past, then don’t vote for him! Likewise with McCain/Palin’s pasts.
  10. Lastly, YOUR VOTE MATTERS!

It will be history making election year. Don’t miss out!

Liberals: People of (in)tolerance

Posted in Politics with tags , , , , , , on October 12, 2008 by Rob

Here is my question about liberalism. They preach about tolerance, equality, and diversity. They view conservatism as backwards, projectors of class-warfare, and chauvinistic pigs. I don’t understand why they think that, because they do the same thing!

They believe that they’re leading America into a better, more progressive future. What I see is a group of people that their fundamental philosophy is “Do as I say, Not as I do” which anyone can plainly see every time on of these ‘progressives’ try to influence the American public. An example of this is the intelligent design theory. I understand that some people think this theory is pathetic excuse to try to teach about God in school, yet it does bring up the hypocrisy of liberalism. Liberals fight constantly against the supporters of the Intelligent Design theory. Liberals believe Intelligent Design is a sneaky way for conservatives to teach about God in schools. I don’t understand why liberals get so mad. Aren’t liberals supposed to be people with open minds and the agents of tolerance? These are the same people that want to teach sex education to kindergartners.  Liberals say that conservatives supposed the agents of intolerance, so why are they being so intolerant too the Intelligent Design theory?

By now I hope you see the hypocrisy. Liberals are open-minded and tolerant if it is something that they agree with, like Planned Parenthood, socialism, taxes, atheism, and Barack Obama. If anyone contradicts any of their ‘progressive’ ideas; liberals take their media friends and try to annihilate reputation of progressivism enemies with familiar labels like bigot, racist, closed-minded, and sexist just to name a few.

When you hear a liberal say that ‘conservatives are (insert random insult)‘ remember to smile. Point out their liberal hypocrisy and before they respond. Make sure you tell them they can’t response with bumper-sticker slogan. That is the fastest way to shut them up.
